The founder of 1st Call UK, James Ramowski had a vision, that being to provide an affordable, caring and quality advice service treating our clients and their needs as we would treat our own friends and families. Experience Counts
James founded 1st Call in 2008 following many years experience in the field of Immigration & Asylum. James has also been a Trustee/Director of a local not for profit independent voluntary organisation providing advice and assistance to asylum seekers in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. James now has over 24 years immigration experience behind him. 1st Call and in particular James have worked on a number of high profile and interesting cases and have received publicity and media coverage. Most recently, James appeared on a Channel 5 Documentary with a success case called “Immigration – Tearing Our Family Apart”
In his spare time, James is a former member and past Chairman of Hucknall Round Table, part of Round Table International and Round Table Britain and Ireland, a not for profit Men’s’ Club and charitable organisation. He is also a former voluntary committee member of the Wollaton Royal British Legion Club. James has his wife and 2 children who take up most of his spare time. He also enjoys dining, socialising, cycling and family walks.

Highest Level of Authorisation
We are authorised and regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner at the highest level. This allows 1st Call to advise and represent you on all matters relating to any areas of Immigration & Asylum from the initial advice stage, up to appeals before Upper Tribunal of the Immigration & Asylum Chamber. Whilst we are authorised and competent to represent clients in appeal, due to our commitment to our clients and desire to achieve the best possible results, we always instruct highly experienced local Immigration Counsel (Barristers). As Barristers are trained Advocates and their skills and experience relate to preparing and making oral arguments in a court setting, we take comfort in knowing that our clients cases are in the best hands.
